Cokas began his career in entertainment strategy after over 15 years as a successful Broadway actor.
Proctor & Gamble, Adidas, GAP, Walmart, Target, AMEX, Mattel, Haley Bennet, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Miranda Kerr and Katharine McPhee.
He also launched ‘CMPR,’ the largest independent sports PR and Marketing firm in the US with former Vice President of Universal Television Group - Steve Webster.
As a manager, Cokas facilitated recording agreements with Columbia Records, RCA, Verve Music Group, Executive Produced a number of studio albums and advised on the music marketing and soundtrack strategies between Columbia Records and DreamWorks Television on NBC’s ‘SMASH’. He has also developed and produced award winning screenplays, plays, short films as well as a number of music videos and has produced numerous live performances across the country.
Cokas was crucial to the establishment of independent placement label ‘Rescue Records’, as its first A & R manager (A division of 5 Alarm Music) signing and negotiating bands and solo artists to major placements deals.
From her breakout performances on American Idol to 2014, Nick managed Katharine McPhee’s career as well as creating and directing the ‘McPhee Outreach’, an international foundation aiming to raise awareness and fundraise for charitable organizations.
